The Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University and Oxford Hub launched the inaugural Vice-Chancellor's Civic Awards in Spring 2010.
The Vice-Chancellor's Civic Awards are granted in recognition of exceptional and inspirational individual achievement and personal commitment to improving the state of society and our world.
The award is open to any student currently studying at Oxford University. Students are proposed by a sponsor and then fill in the remainder of the nomination form to outline why they are deserving of the award.
A panel made up of representatives from both the University and the community then choose six winners.
The Vice-Chancellor's Civic Awards will be presented at a celebratory dinner in June 2010.
