Financial support for external training events

APPLICATION FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!

£500 have been set aside for the remainder of the year to support member charity coordinators, members of the Hub exec, OHCV committee and OHCV projects if they wish to attend training events organised by third parties.

In order to receive funding, applicants must fill in an application form and send it to the Training Coordinator. Hub Manager, President and Training Coordinator then decide on a rolling basis whether to grant financial support to applicants.

Criteria are the cost of the event relative to the benefit for the organisation, the applicant’s position with the Hub and the availability of cheaper alternatives.

Priority is given to exec members and OHCV committee. OHCV project coordinators and member group coordinators are treated equally.

Travel costs are reimbursed for the cheapest available option.

If an applicant receives funding, he/she must write a short report after the event and pass a copy of all relevant materials on to the Hub Training Coordinator.

The Training Coordinator sends out a Training Newsletter every other Sunday with an updated list of recommended external training events as well as planned Hub training. Applications for events that are not on the list are taken into consideration.
