Based at the Said Business School in Oxford, the Skoll centre aims to be the world’s leading resource and education facility in Social Entrepreneurship.
Every year, it hosts the “Skoll World Forum”, an international conference that gathers leading figures in many different fields, to exchange knowledge and experiences. Jimmy Carter and Al Gore were among the speakers at the conference in 2008. Tickets are very expensive, but the conference usually hires stewards, the majority of whom will get to see at least some of the speakers.
University society that encourages and supports student entrepreneurship. The society promotes both conventional and social business. It has also set up a site to find internships in small businesses.
