- The search is on for the £30,000 winner of ‘Nobel Prize for Charity’
We are now inviting nominations for the inaugural Vice-Chancellor's Civic Awards, which will be given in recognition of exceptional individual achievement in, and personal commitment to, volunteering in the community and the wider world.
The awards are open to any student, undergraduate or graduate, currently studying at the University of Oxford whose volunteering efforts have made a significant contribution to the local, national or international community.
The deadline for applying for the Easter Ethical Internships has been extended until WEDNESDAY 10th FEBRUARY, at midnight. The Student Hubs Ethical Internships 2010 scheme places students in ethical organisations during university Easter and summer breaks, giving you the opportunity to gain experience, learn new skills, get training, network and have fun - all whilst doing good for a cause you care about!
The programme for OxFID 2010 has been launched. This year’s theme is 'Development in Crisis and Conflict' and highlights include John Holmes (UN Under Secretary General For Humanitarian Affairs), Andrew Mitchell (Shadow Secretary for International Development), Alison Evans (Director of ODI) with many more eminent speakers being added daily.

On Purpose is a new leadership programme for the next generation of high-flyers who will use the power of business to make a difference in the world.
The Oxford Social Enterprise Forum (OxSEF), the UK’s first student conference on social entrepreneurship, launched on the weekend of 9-10th May. Held at the Said Business School it brought together over 160 practitioners, academics and students from across the country to participate in a variety of dynamic panel debates and workshops.
